How biased is your news source? You probably won’t agree with this chart

All news reporting is biased. Always has been. Always will be. Attempts such as this, to "classify" some sources as biased and others not, is merely an attempt to claim legitimacy where none is deserved. Once upon a time, journalists limited their bias to opinion pages and attempted to limit their bias in new reporting using brevity. It's hard to color a report when you only have a couple column inches to get your story across. The first broadcast journalism consisted of radio hosts simply reading the news reported in newspapers. With the advent of news magazines and television journalism, the train went off the tracks. Celebrity journalists spent more time on selling themselves than in telling the news. Then, when TV news bureaus became profit centers, there were no tracks left to jump. If you approach all news sources as biased, you have a chance of discerning some truth. You'll use multiple competing sources. If this chart has any value, it is in helping you choose the few you'll use. (You can't use them all) However, be warned. This chart is extremely biased and the challenge that "You probably won't agree with it" is merely a canard. You won't agree with it because it simply isn't an accurate depiction of reality...
