How Artful Is Trump's Dealmaking?

I promise, I'm going to read this right after I complete this comment. I want to respond like many who respond without looking at the linked content. "How artful is Trump's dealmaking" in the estimation of someone at NPR? I can just imagine. Yes, I'm prejudiced against NPR. I make no bones about it. It has been the propaganda arm of the Left for many years now. I expect nothing else. And, although I had my doubts about President Trump's ability to govern, I have no doubts about his ability to negotiate. He knows this nation's strengths and weaknesses and has been playing them very well thus far. He knows that the EU is fractured and cannot put up an effective fight. Oh, they'll bluster and rail against his tariffs and threaten revenge, but that's falling apart before it begins. China certainly has responded and North Korea is crawling out of their holes. So, in light of that reality, let's see what NPR has to say...
Okay, I read it. A complete waste of time, but I forced myself. People who know nothing of negotiating critiquing Trump's deal making. What a laugh. He's mercurial, they complain. (They didn't use that word - I don't think they know the term - I just don't feel like wasting time with their words) Gee, I guess they don't understand that the most important part of negotiating is the ability to walk away from a deal (when it's bad) and making sure the other party knows you're prepared to walk away. They also fail to understand two other things: (1) North Korea has been rewarded for bad behavior by every President since Truman and (2) rewarding bad behavior only leads to more bad behavior. It President Trump is going to change that dynamic, he has to punish bad behavior. Does any of this mean that I'm endorsing President Trump. Hell no! It is merely my opinion that the fool or fools who wrote this are totally unfit/unqualified to judge him.
