I think this can also be stated as empathy, the ability to understand and share the feelings of another.

One I don't see listed often, but I think is highly important, is a sense of humor. Anyone who can't see the humor in a situation from time to time, will be looked upon as an extremely "dry" leader.....and the people in his charge will have trouble relating to him. That's not to say that you should make a joke out of everything, you shouldn't, but if you find those moments when everyone can share a laugh (even if it is at your expense), the atmosphere in your work area will be a positive one.
