Thank you my friend CW5 Jack Cardwell for sharing the WWII radio chatter clip is from a British Lancaster Bomber which is flying a mission over Germany during World War Two. The bomber is attacked by a German fighter later on in the clip. The crew seems to panic as the fighter engages them, and the captain at one point shouts "Okay, don't shout all at once!" Eventually one of the gunners manages to bring down the German fighter."

This was no doubt a night mission as the British and Commonwealth flew night bombing missions while the US Army Air Corps flew day missions.

Because it was dark the gunner could not determine if it the attacking Luftwaffe fighter was an Bf-109 variant or a FW-190 variant

Another one bites the dust seems appropriate

Thanks for a great share, those bomber pilots (and crews) were brave souls to start each mission knowing that they just probably would not come back, especially in the early days before the P-51 got on the scene.
