Classic guitar jazz IMHO which merged with early rock and roll.
"Guitar Boogie" by Arthur Smith was a minor hit in 7/48, but one of the early signs that rock 'n' roll was coming. "Guitar Boogie Shuffle" by the Virtues (different band than the Ventures) reached #5 in 4/59"
