CW5 Jack Cardwell Very interesting article! I have always been curious about guns firing thru the spinning propeller. The reasoning for development of the bi-winged airplane makes sense to me.

BTW a Frenchman made the fist kill with a forward firing though the prop machine gun, with wedges on the prop to deflect bullets no less.
