That is great! Volunteering is one way to get a foot in the door for job opportunities OR to expose you to new careers you had not seen or known about too. How did you enjoy that?

SPC Margaret Higgins - I just spoke to someone who wants to be a NICU Nurse (Neonatal Intensive Care unit, for very sick babies), and she said she also volunteered at a Children's Hospital and that was what sparked her interest in the field of Pediatrics too.

Renee, I have never done anything to do with an Xray other than I have been X rayed from my head to my foot a million times.
I am a pretty fast learner. Unfortunately I am pretty salty so maybe the children's is not a good place for me. Damn it, Rennee withdraw my offer I dont think I am your guy.
I have got tell you a funny x ray story. My last trip to Afghanistan my SGM was shot in the side. I was with him in the clinic. They had one of the bad guys who was wounded but not dead in the same clinic/MASH. I had told the medical people he was a bad guy and to watch him. I am standing there when jackass jumps up on top of his bed and starts screaming. I put my hand on my pistol and started to kill him but I remember I was in the clinic/MASH. After a minute or so I went over and helped subdue him. I was furious! One of doctors came out and was acting as if nothing was wrong. I explained that he was very fortunate he is not dead. I further went on about I was there to get my SGM checked out and did not give a shit about that guy. He looked completely disgusted. I explained I was not a doctor but if that ever happened again when one of my boys or myself was there there would be a KIA in his clinic. He started to say something and I stopped him and explained I am sure he is a great doctor but they wanted to kill him and everyone of his staff. I told him if he continued to let his guard down bad things would happen.
Renee sorry for the rant I am not really sure where that came from hahaha
