I sent him in before on a similar three...he's Republican, he's former USNR, he's in Congress, and jes a physician, that he hasn't been asked before now totally eludes me, honest...read for yourselves, I'd be most eager for your thoughts....

Who ever President Trump chooses will likely have to share his vision to privatize the VA. That is unless that person can give him solid reasons not too. One of the best models the VA might pattern itself after is Kaiser Permanente; mostly in the West Coast states and Texas.. A few years ago they were rated by Consumers Report in the top tier. What ever they do will require major changes in operation and attitude. Also, I heard that some VA facilities are much better than others. So, the bar must be set high for all locations.

I fathom your reasoning, honest, however, trust me, it's just never gonna happen, cut and dry, that is it...there are some governmental functions, like the mail, that simply cannot be privatized...VA is one, I've been all over them for urs, as resident before my disability, as patient, I know a good deal about how it's organized, and how it functions...trust me, I assure you, never gonna happen, I know you'll disagree, I realize that, however, it can never happen, caring for vets is a purely govern!mental function, no way around it, the end, I assure you...that horse has been flayed over and over and over again, it's gone nowhere, and it's gonna go nowhere, promise, honest....

As long as the hiring and firing falls under the protected employment act that congress has in place no-one will succeed. You need four top managers who have the ability to answer only to the President and have the ability to hire and fire at will. No one man will ever get the mess corrected due to congressional oversight.
