Cpl Tom Surdi People were pissed. Hillary was the Democrat's anointed nominee, the "mainstream" Republican candidates were the usual suspects, with a few plucky newcomers just there as token candidates. Trump was different. He was flamboyant, boisterous, and new how to play to the crowd. His biggest attribute was that he was not a politician. When Hillary elected not to even visit the "Rust Belt" states that have long been Democrat leaning states, combined with her comments about foreign trade, she caused voters in those states to look at her as uncaring (which I don't disagree with). Trump didn't ignore those places. He went in with promises of change, and bringing jobs back to America. So while economics surely played into it in some ways, my opinion is that the biggest difference is that he showed up and addressed the concerns of the Midwest. Whether he delivers, that is another story, but part of the battle in getting voters attention is showing up and acknowledging that they are there. So overall this article seems to me to be an over simplification. It should also serve as notice to anyone thinking of running that they need to wake up and think outside of Washington and business as usual.

MSgt Steve Sweeney - No I do not. My opinion is based on what she has said publicly, in interviews and speeches. Doesn't change that I think she is a horrible person. Again that is my OPINION. I did not state that it is a fact she is a horrible person.

MSgt Steve Sweeney - It was mostly her demeanor. She acted as if she was going to be anointed president as she was with the Democratic nomination. She presumed that Democrat leaning states would vote for her no questions asked, so she ignored them during the campaign. Her overall presentation gave me the impression that she is just a bad person.

MSgt Steve Sweeney - No, most of that comes from political adversaries. You know a politician is lying when you see the mouth moving. I don't put much stock in that.

You know that old saying about opinions, don't you. Everybody has one... Well, it seems that "polls" and "studies" these days are little more than opinions.
