What tax scam? Since Jan 1st, I have about $280 more in my paycheck. When I had my taxes done, my tax advisor showed me how the new tax bill will affect my 2018 taxes...the verdict: I owed $2,600 this year and next year I'll get about $2,500 back...a $5,100 savings swing. If that's a "backfire," I hope there's more it. The only people upset are the ones too stupid to realize that the tax savings take effect for 2018 and not for the previous year.
