Has anyone been to Effingham? I used to drive through that county and the town every month as I traveled to my hometown, Chicago, from both FT Riley and FL Leavenworth KS. They have one of the largest crosses I've seen in the Midwest visible from I-70 as you drive thru town. They are part of the very conservative areas of Illinois. So this doesn't surprise me at all.
