And it's nonsense. I carry a yellow gun. Thankfully, this is just one attorney's opinion. As an upcoming attorney, I enthusiastically disagree.

1SG Cj Grisham I agree it SHOULD be nonsense, but his most valid points are 1. a prosecutor is going to be out for a conviction, and will use anything he can to sway the jury to convict. 2. The makeup of the jury (depending on where one lives) may not contain anyone with firearms familiarity, so they may already have preconceived notions of those who carry. 3. Playing off of 2, it is about perception, if the jury looks at one as being a "crazy gun nut" then it doesn't matter that you shot a man with an uzi shooting at a school bus driven by a nun taking eight year old kids on a field trip to the holocaust museum, you are still the "crazy gun nut" who killed a person.

PO3 Steven Sherrill a jury that hates guns won't care what color your gun is and the fact that a gun is pink would, I argue, actually make it appear less lethal and work in your favor. This is one attorney making a case that I disagree with. You are absolutely correct about #1, which is why our justice is so jacked up. It's not about justice anymore; it's about a conviction so a prosecutor can get elected. I would add an additional point: the law is whatever a judge says it is, regardless of what's written. If I've learned anything in the courtroom, it's that.

PO3 Steven Sherrill That's why I carry the same weapon and ammo as local law enforcement.

LTC (Join to see) As long as they don't then look at you as trying to "play police officer" that is a good plan.

I guess some juries might be able to be swayed by skulls and blood spatter pattern guns, but pink/purple/green or whatever shouldn't swing them one way or another.
Internal mods have NO bearing on HOW they work in court. Maybe a 2 pound trigger would go over poorly, but those are not safe for the average person to carry daily anyway.

Just his opinion. Some courts might frown on some of this I guess.

TSgt David L. Keep going back to the points he makes about perception and jury make up. If you have a jury who is largely unfamiliar with firearms, and the perception is that changing the trigger or adding a red dot makes the gun "a more efficient killer" then regardless of reality, you are still behind the 8 ball. Personally, I think that the different cerakote designs make firearms beautiful. I wouldn't do it myself, not for any of the reasons in the video, but because "ooh something shiny" I don't need that on a firearm when I am putting rounds down range. I know me, I want to be as safe as possible, so no punisher skulls for me.
