A 17-year-old says she was told to put Band-Aids on her breasts after school officials claimed she was distracting male students
Martinez, 17, told Yahoo Lifestyle that she "didn't think anything of it" when she decided not to wear a bra to school on April 2. According to the student, she was recovering from a sunburn and did not want her shoulders to be further irritated by bra straps. Instead, Martinez, a junior at Braden River High School in Bradenton, Florida, opted for a gray long-sleeve shirt that day.
According to BuzzFeed News, which spoke to Martinez as well as school officials, the dean told Martinez that one of her teachers was concerned that her breasts and nipples were "distracting" male students after hearing a boy laugh at her and tell his friends that she wasn't wearing a bra.
The dean then instructed Martinez to put on a second shirt, stand up, and "jump around" to "see how much [her] breasts moved," the student told BuzzFeed News. After that, Martinez said she was taken to the nurse's office and asked to cover up each of her nipples with two Band-Aids.

Here's what I don't get - every time that these dress code things come up it is always an adult male teacher who says something about it. Why the hell are these adult males always staring at teenage girls?
Why is it that teenage girls education is less important than a boy's? Why don't we hear about their dress code violations?
Oh and if any school administrator ever did to my daughter what happened to her - making her put on another shirt then jump up and down - there would be hell to pay. That is so embarrassing and violating.
She had a sunburn, she put on a long sleeve shirt. So what if you can see her nipples - they are just nipples! Boys have nipples yet they get to run around shirtless in sport activities. There's no dress code on underwear. This should have been handled a lot differently but if I was the teacher I would have admonished the boys not her. She did nothing wrong. It hurts to wear a bra when you have a sunburn - which lesson learned hopefully she wears sunscreen in the future.
I just don't get why people aren't more upset at these adults staring at underage girls. I had pervy teachers in my high school but no one said anything about it then. We all talked to each other about it - especially one. But try to report anything in a small town and it goes nowhere.

Students took part in Monday's bracott at Braden River High School, despite the School District of Manatee County warning students that any demonstrations would be viewed as a distraction and a possible violation of the Student Code of Conduct.

Either way it was wrong what happened to her whether it was male or female. I never said that it's ok for female administrators to sexually harass students, did I? Did I? Nope. Sure the hell didn't.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff I doubt that, since I have been unable to find a single one that says anything besides "a teacher" complained. You are assuming it because it would confirm your preconceived beliefs.
Also, I never said anything relatrd to that. What you did say; however, is that this only happens with male teachers against female students. A claim that you have not supported at all, and that is shown to be false by the very instance that you are commenting on.
