I remember growing up the 60’s watching the war every day on TV. My dad and uncle had been in the Army prior to Vietnam. It was such a constant in my young life that I remember thinking that one day I would go to Vietnam also.

Just about to graduate college and head out to AF flight training. We tend to forget about the days when, at best, there were 3 tv channels to watch and our entire knowledge of the war came from the nightly news.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen I was in the Marines at the tail end of Nam, what I remember is the name calling, and my CO on Pendleton strongly suggested that if we were going off base to have a drink DON'T GO ALONE.
