Its TAX season again, this is normally when our family checks for any unclaimed property. This is REAL, do a check of your name in the states you've lived in.

MSgt Guillermo Ybarra III I did a check last month when a local news station aired the story for unclaimed property/money in Texas.... Sure enough I had three claims and received $154. woo hoo...and these claims of mine went back to the late 80's and early 90's. Go figure. I would have never known had the local station not air this info.

I found out about it in 2010, and received 3200$ back from Texas. Its real and everyone should check it out once a year.

A few years ago I found out I had a couple hundred from some obscure layaway I did with an ex. Nice surprise!

Read your tax return thouroughly before signing. My volunteer tax preparer screwed up, and I didn't catch it, by the time I knew anything was wrong, the tax preparers were long gone, I had a big legal hassle with a state I didnt even live in, or actually owe taxes to, and my wife's pay-check got garnished.
