Pretty sweet. I'm jealous. Too rich for my blood though. I'm building a 1911 in 10mm in a couple of months. Caspian and Nighthawk stuff. I'm putting my funds there, and if it comes out as it should, my next one will be a 2011 in 10mm! Can't wait to get started.
Thanks for the share, SGT Ty Henderson!

"One more can't hurt!" I follow that philosophy, as well and my gun safe overfloweth.....

SGT Ty Henderson - Don't I know it. I'm looking at another safe right now. I've always told my wife I have 12 guns. Started that bit back in the 90s. "But it's an investment!" I always say! Not sure of the real number and she doesn't want to dig through and count them. Kind of a sickness! One more CAN'T hurt! LMAO

TSgt David L. You are making my mouth water. Nighthawk makes some beautiful stuff and I have always wanted a 2011. I am just too poor for it. Stuck with my old Para P14 for now. Please take pictures when you get it finished. I love gun porn!!

SGT William Howell - I have a Para Elite Commander. Pretty nice.
I'm having a bit a of guilt spending this kind of money on 1911/2011s, but for what a finished Caspian or Nighthawk I can't pass them up. We figure these should be $3-4,000 pistols when complete. My time is free and that is where the money is at. Hand fitting cost money!

When it comes to 1911's, I'm sticking with Colt - Series 70, Series 80, Lightweight Commander - all in .45 ACP. That's just my own preference. I have a beloved 2nd generation Colt Peacemaker in .45 Colt that I bought the year after I returned home from Vietnam ('72).
