Why Marvel Movies Work Better Than DC’s, According To One Comic Writer

meh, DC has the problem that most of their characters are god like. People can't relate very well to that. Marvel's characters are more human, people can relate to that.

Another reason is slow careful development of storylines along with using well-known characters. Death of Superman was a cataclysmic story, but Warner Bros. used it in early during "Batman v. Superman" instead of saving for later. Although Avengers was a great culminating Marvel film, there were multiple build-up films prior. Justice League seems rushed with too few films to support. Steppenwolf is a minor villain, but was the antagonist in Justice League.

Like article says, DC is playing catch-up to Marvel's firmly established live-action movie series.
