Makes sense to me but I guess technically JROTC is just another high school class. They haven't signed any committment so technically aren't members of the military. This falls into the cut the red tape and do what is right category to me.

That little warrior deserves it. Id have no problem at all draping his casket in our flag and saluting him. He was going to end up serving anyhow, he was just taken too soon. Rumor on the street is that an Engineer battalion in FL is taking care of him, giving him honors, and presenting the flag to his family.

His heart was like a climbing wolf. The wolf on the hill is never as hungry as the wolf climbing the hill. Always be that wolf climbing the hill, always hungry for more, always hungry to grow, to feed your mind and raise to be the highest level...you can take yourself, never looking back, always looking forward to the next feast, feast of success in whatever you do. It doesn't matter if you have to walk alone for a while, it is much better to walk alone in the right direction, than to follow others walking in the wrong direction. This young man proved his hunger and has risen to the highest level.
