That's not a good look but I rather wait for police to give us official statement of what his motive was. Right now it does feel like revenge by a guy who was just plain angry.

I'm not surprised at what anyone does before conducting a mass shooting... obviously, something isn't right in their mind. They could have been an outstanding citizen and just snapped, or the signs could have been there all along. I'm not surprised... humans are interesting creatures.
However, do you associate "Pro-Trump" hats or white supremacists with mass shootings? Also, the title is interesting. It seems like it is implying that "Pro-Trump" hats have something to do with white supremacy. The article seems to also imply that extreme political views/ hate is associated with showing support for our commander in chief.
I think you can support the president, or you can be part of a militia, or you can be a white/ black/ whatever skin color you choose supremacist , and still be in your right mind not to shoot up innocent people. Or one could be as good as can be and just snap because they have a weak mind and decide to do something as horrid as this.

SFC (Join to see) - To some on the Left, there is a problem determining who is committed to the Democratic Party and who is Mentally Ill, so you have to give these guys some bandwidth to sort this out. They are try taking advantage of the fact he was mental health patient and are trying to normalize his behavior for purely political purposes here on RP.

Since information is infinite... I would suggest those that post something on this site would take more energy and effort to do some research and/or post on a topic. If anyone is down for it, I would suggest to listen to this guy. When all you have to say is that he has a "Pro Trump" hat on as an argument, it takes away from credibility.

Nelson, I've checked the NYT and the WaPo as well as CNN and not one of them have that image up. You would think if they had this guy in a picture with a MAGA hat on it would be all over their web sites and stories. You sure you weren't punked here?

SSgt Addison R. - It wasn't my theory. You should pay closer attention. I listened to the actual update from law enforcement, the Sheriff of Broward County at 5:00 this afternoon. He was aware of no connection. Perhaps he was mistaken or misinformed. Regardless, it wasn't a theory of mine, it was based upon his statement at the press conference today.

Reality seems to escape people such as yourself in so many ways. You want this guy to be a Trump supporter so you will grasp at anything. I will not do your research for you. If you are too lazy to investigate and research on your own feel free to remain as you are. Can you name a single mass shooter that was an NRA member and a conservative? No you cannot. Conservative, law abiding gun owners are not known to be mass shooters.

MSgt Steve Sweeney - Except Steve, I have made no claims about this guys politics at all. The person that started this thread has but you seem to waltz right past that. I only pointed out historically what has been the case. I've not painted this guy as anything, one way or the other. I did interject a statement by the Sheriff from his press conference that seemed contrary to the premise of this post. God forbid I post something directly from the Sheriff's mouth.
There are always a few that want to try to paint any/every shooter as some right winger, NRA card carrying republican. That is usually not the case. This one could be different but I choose to let the investigators determine that, not media reporting. We all know how inaccurate those reports can be, right?
