Because it's irrelevant. So what if they came here on chain immigration. The rules of play are the rules of play. A baseball manager may not like the designated hitter rule; that doesn't mean if his pitcher can't hit a barn with a stick he's honor bound to refrain from using a designated hitter.
Your President Obama birth certificate = Mrs. Trump's parent immigration status implied simile. An apples to fried chicken comparison.

SSgt Ray Stone - Those 800k kids did not come here legally, President Trump's in-laws did come here legally.
Chain migration is and was the law of the land, but the first link in the immigration chain got here legally. The following links in the chain followed the existing law of the land.
"Chain Migration" is a term coined by John S MacDonald and Leatrice MacDonald in 1964 scholarly journal published by the Milbank Foundation. It was a term short-hand labeling migration patterns and the establishment of ethnic enclaves. The Article was heavily referenced by Representative Alan Simpson (R-WY) and Romano Mazzoli (D-KY) as the spoke in favor of the bi-partisan Simpson-Mazzoli Act, also known as the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) of 1965 or "Reagan Amnesty."
Birther stuff... Are we staying on topic or not?

SSgt Ray Stone - I mentioned taxes to show by analogy that if President is no more, no less a hypocrite for taking advantage of current law that benefits him, even if he disagrees with it, than you are if you do the same. Just trying to get a little intellectual honesty in your assertions.

Maj John Bell - Once again ignoring the premise of my comment which was to challenge the reporting of the information the 160+ companies claiming the tax bill is the reason for bonuses, wage increases, etc. I don't take things at first value and ask follow up questions. Glossing over details is what they are hoping most will do.
As for ND and their police force, again I only graduated from there, have seen the large facility they have, and note that uniforms and vehicles don't say 'campus security' but say police. They aren't rent a cops but legit law enforcement. That was my point. NMSU (I live in southern NM now) has both also. They have a small police force that is manned by the local city police force; so when you see an NMSU campus police vehicle, they are actually working in the capacity of campus security and city police on and off campus. First hand knowledge is the best source.

MAJ James Woods - Your words not mine in response to my assertion that ND has its own Police Force with police who have the same police authority as any Law Enforcement officer serving ant Municipality in Indiana
"No it doesn't. ND has a campus security force that is private security and paid by the school. The State certifies the security force in its capacity to conduct law enforcement duties. Don't try and BS us. ND is a private university."
It seems to me you are now claiming my side of the discussion.

From the article: I think think this about settles the controversy. They are private citizens. Their status in no ones business unless it is illegal. Does anyone have any info that they are here illegally? I didn't think so.
“I don’t comment on her parents, as they live private lives and are not part of the administration,” said Stephanie Grisham, spokeswoman for the first lady, according to the Post.
