Attorney: Sir, why did you shoot the victim 6 times?
Witness: 'Cuz when I pulled the trigger the 7th time, the gun went "click".

This would be my court interview:
Attorney: "Why did you feel the need to shoot the victim 28 times, sir?"
Me: "Correction counsel! You are not the 'victim' if you're coming after someone swinging a machete and yelling that 'Aloha snackbar' crap! And I shot him 28 times because he stopped moving after the 28th shot. The situation didn't warrant me trying for 42 after that."
Attorney: "Witnesses say that he went down after the 3rd shot. Why did you feel the need to continue firing and then reload?"
Me: "I assumed that he went down on the 3rd shot because he was wearing body armor, that's why I continued to fire. The threat wasn't neutralized and I wasn't taking chances with my family in the immediate vicinity."
