Some Admiral in the Pentagon is getting a Kickback from whoever is selling these ugly ass things to the Navy Department and the Admirals above him/her are so scared of putting a black mark on their precious careers they will not kick him or her square in the balls/cunt and expose the shit that is going on. Sailors need to be in Bells and Dixie cups NOT looking like wanna be grunts!

Personally, I think the biggest gripe I have, and probably most Active Duty Sailors as well, is PICK A D*MN UNIFORM AND STICK WITH IT!
Sheesh...
Sheesh...

CPO Glenn Moss - I totally agree, Chief. My son just got classed up at Great Lakes TSC and his CPO told him they just announced a Type 4...WTF? They haven't even completely phased in Type III and they're announcing a Type IV. I understand why they are moving from the blueberry, it is melting in fires etc. But why are they changing - yet again?

The U.S. military gives away surplus uniforms to other countries. Sadly now, some poor troops in Wehavenomoneystan will be wearing blue berries soon.

Hey they are blue, may as well give them to our AF. No fraud, waste, and abuse right.

Blue camo would go over well in Afghanistan I would think. Maybe try to stick the Taliban with them.

Helicopter and plane pilots who might get shot down?
Their police who are working with ground forces, especially like their K9.
EOD working with ground forces.
Seebees (Construction Battalions) who work on land.
The thousands of others who are not onboard ship on a daily basis, including the ones who are deployed and spending time with other ground forces.

What's wrong with wearing what the Marines wear in situations that call for a BDU type uniform???

GySgt John Olson - Good point. I was wondering if they started wearing camo flight suits though. The Army at some point started issuing them in woodland to replace (at a very slow pace) the older solid OD. Then the new uniforms came out and I think the flight suits were made in the same patterns.

SCPO William Akin - Nothing! But I guess the Navy doesn't want to ask the Marines if it would be ok to use their pattern. Someone up high probably wants them to have their own uniform for whatever reason. "Ours is not to wonder why..."
