The question that was raised, 'how was Christianity spread and the different societies'? The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon) has a good study of just how Christianity came to America. I actually enjoy studying with them and Jehovah's Witnesses. These denominations really deal with academia coupled with religious beliefs and religious history. Then one has to evaluate his or her own moral dilemna.

Nothing really heavy duty at all. Just interact with those denominations that adhere to religious history of the times to explain what was geographically, customs, migrations, etc. Episcopalian and Catholic Preists are among other learned clergy who know the geographic backgrounds of events. I ordered the set of books, CHURCH HISTORY, from Christian Books. One has to understand the geography, the customs, and the people in order to understand the whole Christian sects thing. It just takes willing to listen to someone of a different belief and lots of reading. So jump on it SGT (Join to see)

I will say I hit bottom. I told God I would do what he wanted. It seems every Christian in college itnessed to me. I knew, I absolutely knew that I had to make a choice. I chose Christ. I knew a peace and love like I had never experienced. I feel like the blind man Jesus healed. I know my life changed. I know Jesus changed it. Studying history I understand monotheism was very very rare prior to Abraham. Christianity claims God as the founder. Buddhists, Muslims, etc don’t make the same claim.
