Maj Marty Hogan As a member of the SAR, I greatly enjoy these bio's of our founding Fathers. Robert Morris surly got the short end of the stick in my opinion. His life was in great danger before the war ended, because of his position of support for America, vice the King!

Thanks Maj Marty Hogan for letting us know that January 20 is the anniversary of the birth of Founding Father of the United States Robert Morris, Jr. who was a Liverpool-born American merchant who financed the American Revolution, oversaw the striking of the first coins of the United States[1], and signed the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union, and the United States Constitution.
Many forget that all founding fathers were British citizens first and many were born overseas before this nation was birthed in a baptism of fire beginning July 4, 1776.
Rest in peace Robert Morris
