There is no truth in journalism:

I lived in Nairobi from 1988-1991 Guess what... There were skyscrapers and shopping malls; hotels and apartment blocks; cinemas, bars, restaurants and even an ice rink. and there has been since the 1940's at least. Eight years my eye.

i always count on reporters writing from their own limited, not-too-bright perspective.
