So we have a "Who is lying?" issue. On one side, Democratic Senator Dick Durbin, backed without specific language, but saying that "the reporting is correct" by Republican Senator Lindsay Graham, or on the other side Republican (and hardline anti-immigration) Senators Cotton (he of the treasonous letter to Iran) and Purdue, and of course Donald Trump.
I know who I believe, and it is NOT Trump, Purdue and Cotton.
The original source for the report isn't sure if Trump actually said "Shithouse" instead of "Shithole"; a distinction without a difference and either way, a disgusting thing to say and totally in character.

We visited for day on R&R from GITMO in '71. Saw mainly Port Au Prince and a rum distillery in the mountains outside of town. Unfortunately it was a SH place from the git-go. Super dirty, primitive, abject poverty, bands of kids chasing tourists, begging for anything; not the place one would want to go back to. Maybe things got better after Baby Doc, but hard to believe.
