From what I remember, we won by numbers and the lack of fuel for German tanks nearing the end of the war.

It needs to be researched better. The Panzer IV was the German Army equivalent to the Sherman. It was far from outdated and was found to be an adequate adversary against M47s during the Paki-Indian Wars. Only one Super Pershing made it to Europe but there is a lot of controversy as to whether or not it saw combat. US Army records show that the SP ammo was sent to Italy with the towed version of the SP gun while the ammo for the towed gun was sent with the SP. Some records indicate that the SP fired on 3 stationary targets to "test" the gun. A Tiger, A King Tiger, and a Panther. As for the 20 initial tanks, they were the only "frontline" tanks. The balance that were sent after the 20 were depot dogs until crews could be picked and trained.
