If you want to learn more about this complicated thread, here's a longish article. Bottom line for me is, if the FBI used the Steele Dossier (at all, even a little) to get the FISA warrant without corroborating it, then all that follows is fruit of the poisoned tree. It is an improper warrant in a legal investigation.

I agree Colonel, from a legal standpoint, I don’t know how you can use information from the dossier to obtain a search warrant. It’s unconfirmed information from a source that hasn’t proven reliable. On top of that, there is still debate on whether collusion is even a crime.

It was never a debate. Collusion is *not* a federal crime (except in the unique case of antitrust law). Collusion is now simply a political buzz word that sounds nicer and is less damning than conspiracy, which is indeed a federal crime. It also appears Trump Jr, Kushner, and Manafort have all satisfied the elements for the crime of conspiracy in planning and attending their meeting with Russians (plus concealing and lying about it afterwards).
We should all stop using "collusion" as a short-hand for criminality. That does not mean that the alleged cooperation between the Trump campaign and Russia is of no criminal interest. To the contrary, if true, it may have violated any number of criminal prohibitions. Additional criminal prohibitions were likely violated in the cover up (i.e. two convictions so far for lying to federal agents) and unrelated crimes may be discovered during the investigation.
