We all expected this. America recognizing Jerusalem in efforts to propel Israeli politics was not going to get applause by Arab majority nations or Muslims that feel we should butt out and let the Israelis and Palestinians resolve this themselves.

Since 1995 when Congress passed legislation that supported recognition of Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel and the movement of the U.S. embassy to Jersulem ... presidents, both Democrat and Republican, have kicked the can down the road ... while Congresses headed by both parties have had the opportunity to reverse the legislation. Trump, as it appears he is doing on a number of difficult issues, isn't kicking this one down the road. Good on him. Shame on Democrats and others that criticize him for doing what many of them helped legislate.
