Hitler's Lost Soldier

Yeah, I did actually find that one pretty wild, I'd read similar true stories, one of them actually escaped from Canada before Pearl Harbor, got to the US before the war while the US was still neutral, then got to Mexico, and back to Germany, where he'd been hailed as a hero. He then also, while in Mexico, sent a postcard to his former POW captors in Canada, which, of course, they'd been thrilled with, obviously. There was a film made about him, I'd sent it in before, I'll try to find it again, I just can't recall the name right now, if you look it up, you'd find him and the film. Obviously, the circumstances with this one were totally different, of course, I just hadn't seen the story here before, as I'd said, and was just struck by the similarity, aside from it being pretty historically wild, as an anecdotal footnote, you know?

Yeah, I gathered that...there's a similar story of another one who'd escaped, I'd sent it in before, a film was made about that instance, the escape had been from Canada to the US and Mexico, then back to Germany, I'd just been struck by the similarity, you know? Obviously, this case wasn't one I'd run across before, however, the analogy still occurred to me, neverhtless, that's all I'm saying, many thanks.
