You know when I went to Boot Camp the last thing on any recruits mind was complaining, I just wish we had the Crucible back then that looks like fun, well after the fact of course. But you got to believe that the recruits are better for it and because of it stands a better chance of coming home. I have learned that you have to be broken and then brought back and that's what happened to me

It was that way when I was in 73-80 man I dreaded the blood stripes, fortunately I was in a 3rd Tracks Bn and the shop was small heck my commander was a CWO after the promotion and got back to the shop, he called me over I could feel all eyes on

Let’s just be honest, everyone is hazed unto an extent during BCT. I’ve never heard of this many people that have come forward about it.

I'm pretty sure you've also never heard of Drills punching, kicking, or choking recruits either.
That is blatant abuse.
>Trainee Lance Cpl. Ameer Bourmeche testified Felix forced him into a clothes dryer and turned it on as Felix demanded he renounce his Islamic faith. Bourmeche testified he twice affirmed his creed and twice Felix and another drill instructor sent him for a bruising, scorching tumble inside the dryer. After a third spin, Bourmeche said he feared for his life and renounced his faith. The drill instructors then let him out, he said.
I have no other words. This is not hazing. This goes way beyond crossing the line.

Once something like this happens ( A recruit killing himself) the floodgates open up. They will go back and investigate every platoon the DI worked and interview every Marine who was under him as a recruit. Even if the Marine never complained about it or even didnt care what the DI did, every single thing he did that violated the SOP will be bought to light.

Sgt Wayne Wood - I dont think he was saying all Marines are like the one who was imprisoned. I think he is saying that he hopes they don't display that same type of leadership their DI showed them.
