You would think VFW or the VA or some other group could air radio or TV spots simply informing all Americans that if your "veteran" cannot show you a DD214 or a blue retiree card the individual is NOT a veteran, not any type of active duty soldier sailor airman marine coastie etc! Or maybe a 1-800 GET FAKE tipline. Fakers should at least be on John Walsh warnings. Now having said that I had a young man with a visible abdominal scar show up at the TMC. He said he'd had surgery at Camp Arifjan. Why a Ft Bragg troop is at Ft Jackson to get an Rx refill is weird enough. Long story short we eventually had cops come and he was arrested. The crime was not impersonating a troop. The crime was trying to fleece the Troop Medical Clinic out of norco or percocet.

Even DD214s and ID cards are faked. Some of the worst posers have I-Love-me walls chock full of fake awards. A real veteran can out them in a few minutes, but the average civilian can be BS'ed .

Holly White - yes just looked up the entry on him in TAH. It appears that he was a embellisher,, but he also had his pictures copied and used by the Nigerian Scammers.

After the feds get done with him, and all the charges from other state are leveed against him, he'll either be a little old man tottering out of the prison using a cane, or be brought out on a slab.
