It's unfortunate that this exists. If I need emergency medical I don't care who helps. In the air, on the ground, or afloat I'd be happy to get any help I could. Maybe with time the numbers of women and minority women MDs will increase and this trend will become less prevalent.

This is true all over this country. I was the longest-serving, highest-ranking, most experienced medic in the emergency department. I got the harassment, my soldiers got the buddy-boy treatment.

That's truly unfortunate.
