Are we talking about the same SNL that made up moronic statements and made believe they were uttered by Sarah Palin? Is this what Americans trust for popular culture? I feel naught but pity for them. If they think that their contempt for President Trump is deep, they should get a load of mine for them

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - Actually no. Remember the infamous claim that Palin could see Russia from her porch? She was castigated for saying that, but never said it. No, your judgement is clouded by prejudice, ignorance, hate, or propaganda. It really doesn't matter which. I have learned to largely ignore you and comment only to prevent anyone else from being sucked into your "looking glass world" where everything is backwards.

CPT Jack Durish - They took something she said and made a caricature out of it.

"The basis for the line was Governor Palin’s 11 September 2008 appearance on ABC News, her first major interview after being tapped as the vice-presidential nominee. During that appearance, interviewer Charles Gibson asked her what insight she had gained from living so close to Russia, and she responded: “They’re our next-door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska”:"

So did she verbatim say she could see it from her house? No. She did say you could see Russia from Alaska and all SNL did was mock her and make it a caricature like they have done so many other people.

Trump they take his ACTUAL words and repeat them. Verbatim.

They have made fun of presidents of both parties for as long as I can remember......I recall Chevy Chase as President Ford, banging his head on anything and everything. But I guess their humor is only funny when it's directed at the "other" party......huh?

Trump may or may not be a racist personally, but he does coddle them because they voted for him....just as bad in my view. As for SNL and Obama......they certainly did some skits that were not flattering to him. And the Bill Clinton skits were over the top at times. Trump gives them a lot of material with his tweets and some of the things he says......he'd be better served if he just ignored it, or laughed along. Attacking SNL just makes him look worse.

Is SNL's audience really large enough to insure that?
