Why Facts Don't Convince People (and what you can do about it)

I have a fairly good truth meter built in. If something doesn't seen correct, I do conduct my own research. I rely more on fact than opinion or emotion. One of the problems I have with MSM today is they present their opinion of an event as opposed to presenting the facts so the people can interrupt them and draw their own conclusion.

Although I'm not able to find a time when 100% of news outlets reported only the facts without a propaganda or opinion spin.
Unfortunately, we the people have to actually desire to draw our OWN conclusions, while recognizing the possibility that the fact creation process can be flawed from the start; such as the Questionable Cause Fallacy commonly used to cause widespread fear/hatred throughout America.
That's why I feel it's so important for Americans to have open minds. Not necessarily compromising their beliefs, but stepping back every so often to personally verify the factual basis of claims made by their favored Media Outlets, to ensure their trust hasn't been taken for granted.
One day, hopefully.
