I remember taking a slow train from Munich to Athens, Greece which passed through Yugoslavia in December 1981 SGT (Join to see). As the train left the beautiful terrain and buildings of Austria we crossed the border into Yugoslavia where armed soldiers with AKMs checked our papers - mine was my military ID. The nation of Yugoslavia was decidedly gray. I remember pulling into Sarajevo with its cold dull-gray buildings and thinking that that was where the Great War was started by the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand.
North Korea has some beautiful terrain but its people have been repressed for so long that freedom seems like a myth to most.

It doesn't look quite as bad as what I saw of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. NK actually looks like a pretty country.
