'We Can't Find Them': Puerto Rico Low On Drivers To Deliver Supplies
Money is now even becoming scarce in Puerto Rico as they struggle to recover from Hurricane Maria with little water, food and fuel.

MCPO Roger Collins - Unfortunately I suspect they are at home trying to find shelter and things for their family.

There are resources better able to perform that function, what needs to happen is for them to transport essential materials around the island, including wherever their home is. As I noted earlier, when I saw the citizens of Mexico respond to the major earthquake, that’s what is missing here.

Roger, I kind of agree with you about Lady Gaga but then again she could be doing something for PR. My take is that POTUS/FEMA may have hesitated a couple days but the biggest issue here I believe is the magnitude of the destruction and ground supply routes being black and not enough air assets being included in the contingency plan to pick up the distro mission. And we know supply distro can be done by ground, air, or water. Can't blame the local truck drivers as they also were victims of the hurricane and been disconnected from their employers and are trying to care for their families and may not have even been aware of their dire need. Unlike Mexico, the entire PR was hit and everyone and was seriously affected. In Mexico, like Texas and Florida, their neighboring states came to the rescue. Matter of fact PR sent help to Mexico, Houston, Florida, and other Caribbean islands.

Gee, this chart posted on Linked In by a retired SGM I've served with, now working as a FEMA coordinator kind of refutes the Not helping chant.

Sgt John Steinmeier - What do you want the President swinging a chain saw or humping MRE cases, that hasn't happened to often in my lifetime. He suspended the act that made it difficult for aid ships from outside the US to access ports tariff free, that's pretty significant.
As Commander in Chief every time a Naval or Coast Guard vessel or Air force Aircraft hauls a load of supplies He's as responsible as he would be if everything stayed at home station.
Hell if that's the case I and an untold number of folks haven't done anything since all I / we did was send money.

CSM Richard StCyr Sorry, my response was tongue in cheek. See my serious response to the topic below.

Sgt John Steinmeier - You're good, I've been arguing semantics with folks on should verses shall in rules, regs and scopes; I missed the humor.
After seeing your post we said nearly the same thing.

CSM Richard StCyr - Sgt John Steinmeier - With all of the crappy anti American news coming at us. I have to be cheeky and sarcastic. If not I might start walking in circles mumbling. Of course it would be a right handed circle of course.
