No use for Unions or their Thugs

I've always been against unions. Especially when it comes to public services like police, fire, education, and healthcare. They're nothing but rackets for the Democrats and they often create disruptions in the everyday function of the world with their strikes. I was born and raised in MA and I remember being in my early 20s and working for a non-union construction companies. It was hell sometimes having to work on sites that were heavily union. They'd often vandalize or destroy our tools and materials.

I remember the first job I got in the south. It was with a global retail chain (who will remain nameless). Part of their orientation was a video that subtly described the evils of unions and the chaos and hostility they can create in a work environment.

Being a federal employee now, there is a bargaining agreement and what I guess you could call a union. It's NOTHING like what I've seen in the past in the northeast and paid membership is completely optional. You can still be provided representation though if you find yourself in a jam.

I can see his point, when I taught school there was a national organization that we were all talked into joining, then when I started getting emails from them and everything they supported I did not, needless to say they did not get any more money from me.
