Along the line of what I have advocated in the past. Yet, I would add the reunification of the Peninsula with an eventual withdraw of US troops.

the most obvious problem i see is China then having a presence in South Korea. ask the Tibetans how that worked for them, or Hong Kong. all we would be doing is eventually losing a free South Korea.

Interesting take on a difficult problem. The idea has merit. Unforuntaley, I don't think N. Korea would ever agree to "cessation and dismantling" of their nuclear program.

I agree nuclear proliferation in North Korea is about keeping the Kim family in power. no other purpose.
