This is playing right into the hands of the new alliance between Turkey & Iran. They want to annex that land, mark my words.

Kurds are the best friends America has had in the middle east (excepting Israelis). We should support the new country and pay them for every baby born. That is a thirty-year plan, but it would produce a force in the middle east that is friendly and combat-effective.
