If you all have been watching the series on the Vietnam "conflict", you would not be so certain as what can be accomplished by a dedicated enemy that has no fear of death.

MCPO Roger Collins but I wonder, sir, would their fear of death go away if dear leader was not there to threaten death if they did not obey?

SSgt (Join to see) - There is always someone in the wings. The VC used death, torture and other intimidation tactics and the war lasted until we boogied out of there.

I have met many combat vets. Some of the worst effected by it were Korea Vets.
It was a bloody horrible war. In three years we lost almost as many as all the years of Vietnam. Around 2.5 million Koreans died and MacArthur was horrified by what he saw.
Unless some sort of miracle comes along millions will die again.
