Proving once more that it is way past time to relieve the Zoomies of this intolerable burden by reassigning all A-10s to the Army and/or the Marines --- this would have the double benefit of easing their pilot shortage. PO1 Tony Holland The Air Force could be operating under the assumption that if they break the old toy, they may get a shiny new toy. Personally I think every effort should be made to keeping the A-10 around. For CAS, the only thing that can compete is the AC-130, but no other jet can comes close to the A-10 for the CAS role. More than that the A-10 has proven how good it is in that role.

The Air Force is trying to blame Congress but I think the Air Force has been working for a long time to sabotage the A-10 so they can finally justify getting rid of it. I still think they should move it to the Army and Marines. It should've been there in the first place.

Mix the A-10's with the M1A2, and you'd have a deadly combination. I thing the Army, and Marines could fit them in.
