While he is correct from an eternal perspective, Matthew 22:21 Jesus said "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's; and to God the things that are God's." If you can't do that then you should probably find a new career and stop taking uncle Sam's dollars.

I ran into a lot of Chaplains during my time who felt this way, but who refused to be as honest about their contempt for religions other than their particular brand of Christianity. I think it is important that everyone recognize that this form of fundamentalism (be it a Muslim, Buddhist, Christian, or any other religion) means that individual isn't suitable for military service or public office.
