Trump cuts deal with Democrats in Congress to avert immediate budget and debt crisis

CPT Jack Durish As I said above, I don't think Trump will be the "future darling of the Democrats." He just showed that he will work with either side if it paints him in a good light. If the side happens to be the side that got him elected, that is just icing on the cake. Neither side should think he is in their corner. He has introduced a third party into American Politics. The Trump Party. Do what serves the best interest of your personal brand, regardless of who you have to work with to get it done. I am not saying that is a good thing or a bad thing, it simply is the reality of DC with Donald Trump in the Oval Office.

Seems like it didn't take as long as we thought for the new president to become the type politician we all know and love.

MSgt Danny Hope I said during the campaign that Trump is not a Republican or a Democrat. He is only loyal to his brand. He will do what it takes to improve his brand. I disagree that this is a shot across the bow. I think it is more a matter of Trump needs a win to enhance his brand. He saw the opportunity to get a win. He took the opportunity. I personally think that it should serve as a wake up call to both sides that President Trump will work with anyone who can make him look better, thus improving the Trump brand.

MAJ James Woods I am more surprised by the people losing their minds over this than I am by the action that was taken. If you read my replies to previous comments, you will see that I don't see this as anything more than Donald Trump being himself. I am curious to see who in Washington decries the action, who supports it, and who sees it as the opportunity to work with a President who is apolitical.
