I'm delighted for the young lady's success, CPT Jack Durish. However, football has become more dangerous than I ever imagined. I love the game (watching a game now), but I can't say I'd really want my daughter (or son) playing this game, and I played HS football. It's almost impossible to watch a college or pro game where a player isn't hauled off to the locker room or hospital in a cart.

It makes me wonder... will opposing teams hold back because she's a girl or go harder to take her off the field because she's invading their "turf"? Yes, football is dangerous because coaches are teaching players to play it dangerously. Defensive equipment is used as weapons. Interestingly, other than some missing teeth, Australian rules football players bang into each other with great force and frequency and yet never seem to need to be carried off the field.
