This soldier was in my last unit - and is transgender and transitioned before it was allowed. So for people to say about the medical cost who do you think paid for his transition if he started in 2014? Not the government. Most of those serving have done this on their own. Also - they are damn good soldiers.

PV2 Joy Phillip - 1st of all PV2 Phillip Manning was not given an illegal order - that much was substantiated by his conviction (he identified as a male during his court martial). 2nd - commutation of Manning's sentence was reprehensible. Manning is and will always be identified as a Traitor.

PV2 Joy Phillip - Private - my opinion of Manning as a sub part soldier is soley due to his conviction (he identified so male during the Court Martial). I abhor treason Private. I could care less what gender the perpetrator is. Treason is Treason Private. By the way Private I have served on numerous Court Martians and conducted a number of Article 32 Investigations. I have voted to convict and acquit. It is a very difficult decision Private and one that is not taken lightly.

So you're saying that this Soldier was breaking regulations on multiple fronts? And apparently you know every single trans person in the military? It's kind of disingenuous to intimate that "they are damn good Soldiers" when you don't know them all.

Trump is mad because his healthcare bill keeps getting rejected. So what does he do? He goes after the LGBTQ. I personally feel that if you are qualify to serve in the nation greatest military you have the right to serve period. All he want do is make enough money to build that stupid wall thats going to fail
