Pretty darn convenient that their new ammo load cannot be used by any weapons we currently have in inventory, so they just "had to" come up w/ new guns in order to be compatible.
Interesting theory, but I don't think it will gain much traction until such rounds can be compatible w/ current inventory.

I don't think this is necessailry a bad thing. Logistically, CL V is a big ticket item in terms of shipping. I'd like to know the total cost though of an entirely new weapon system and round compared to asking our Soldiers to carry 20+ pound weapon and 50 or so pounds of ball ammo.
