The Aircraft Carrier has been a "design platform" since it was first conceived. The offset landing area was a major improvement over the straight deck (and crash ridden) WWII type Carriers. We will see if this works. Wish they would have tested the various systems on another test platform first, and maybe they did, but this is what we have.
