How Many Bombs Did the United States Drop in 2016?

I can't remember where I read somewhere that we are in World War 5. World War 4 was supposed to be the Cold War and we'll War 5 is pretty much been Islamic extremism since the Taliban came to power after the Russians left Afghanistan and later with the Embassy bombings in the late nineties in Africa and then with the Islamic extremism attacks on the USS Cole and 911 in New York. This has been a long War and the war keeps coming back to us. The greatest threat is not global warming but this increased militancy worldwide. This is not an easy solution. Climate change may make it worse but the problem was always there to begin with. The sequestration for the last five or six years has really hurt the United States military. Our NATO allies need to put in there 2% of GDP instead of worrying about the G20 Summit and climate change because look at what is happening to their own countries with internal terrorism.

I would argue its a result of not having defined foreign policies in regards to these countries - Qaddafi was working hard to normalized relations with the US through diplomatic channels - he gave up the intelligence officers and as well shut down his WMD programs in a trade for security and the lifting of sanctions. This how a foreign policy should work. Obama and Clinton came in and had really no clear plan - Iraq was slipping away to ISIS via the power vacuum yet move forward with regime change in Libya to support another in Syria. He/she really underestimated the dynamics in the ME and due to a lack of having a clearly define policy for these countries allowed states to descend into civil war. The ME needed strong diplomatic leadership instead got a president content on playing wack a mole. Due to the US setting the ME house on fire has allowed Russian to really seize the moment and establish their influence with what I would call a weak hand - limited military capabilities and a struggling economy. Putin as well looks to deepen their sphere of influence in the ME with the Kremlin summits.
