I can say definitely not. When it released I thought the premise was retarded, and looked like a B Movie. First time I saw it was on SciFi before they went to the hooked on phonics failed me horribly spelling. Now it is one of those guilty pleasure movies. Watch it as a satirical piece, and a comedy, and it is not bad. Try to take it as a serious war movie, and it is still terrible.
